​When I started looking for information about nettle fiber in 2018, I was blown away by the fantastic properties and potential uses of stinging nettle. The plant's uses extend far beyond soup, pesto, fertilizer and fiber. I started collecting sources and realized that this had to be a book!

As a nomad of the past, I have lifted every stone and bush in the landscape, discovered new and old uses for nettle and tried my best. No prior knowledge of cooking, savage life or crafts is required from the reader. The book is for small and large wild farmers in town and country with an interest in sustainable food, health, wellness, handicrafts, gardening and outdoor life.

This will be a practical recipe and activity book that is based on historical and new uses of nettle in food, drink, health, beauty, crafts, textiles, rope, paper, fishing nets, shampoo, etc. From being an outcast and despised plant, the nettle is now emerging as nature's multi-tool, pantry and pharmacy with the promise of quality, sustainability and health. Because there is no plant that can be used for so many different things;

Have you lost your tent string? Get started, make it yourself, - hope in a hanging string! Are you going to brew beer or make wine? Make it from nettle! Do you want eczema ointment, dinner or cakes? Out to the edge of the ditch with you!
