MAKING A FIRE FROM NETTLE
I come across a lot of strange things when I dig into old and new sources. What amazes me most is how people find out such strange things?
In this Russian (?) film,(sorry, I don't understand the text), a man makes fire out of nettles. Well, - he makes the nettles burn, and never has the plant lived up to its name more! (Hence to the Norwegian name, which means “Burning nettle”) Still, I think you must get so hot from the whole process that the last thing you want is - heat.
But at least you don't have to carry the heavy matchbox, then!
